Living Stars: Anthology of Corny Poetry

What's cheesy? Is it an insult? A compliment? A neutral adjective, like "blue," "wavy"? In this transatlantic poetry anthology, we bring together twelve poets who engage with this elusive concept, deeply charged with meaning, which is directly linked to several important questions of our present. "Vibrant Stars" introduces for the first time the study of cheesiness through an anthology preceded by a critical introduction that problematizes and celebrates, entangles and untangles what attracts us and repels us from cheesy poetry. Exaggerated sentimentality, playful decorum, hyperbolic femininity, and sometimes love and silliness come together here in this constellation teeming with life and lives.
